Scott Dawson - Owner/CEO

  Scott Dawson is tech industry veteran with a life long passion for technology.

  His background includes a seventeen year career with Compaq Computer Corporation/HP in various Systems Engineering and support roles.

After leaving Compaq/HP in 2002, he began serving the small/medium business market in the Houston area, then moved to the Brazos Valley in 2008.

  After working for two other Managed Service Providers for several years, he started his own company, SMD Technical Services, in early 2014 and has been happily serving clients ever since,

Alan Shearer - Server and Network Administrator

  Alan is a tech's tech, the guy we all go to when we get stuck.  Alan has multiple certifications with Cisco, Microsoft, Fortinet and more.  He likes to be the quiet guy in the background just fixing things, and he helps cover the on-call duties and project work with SMDTS.

Network Operations Center (NOC)

   Through our partnership with Continuum, we offer Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) of your systems 24x7x365.  This includes automated resolution of many problems, and automatic creation and escalation of tickets to their Network Operations Center for resolution, plus notification to us, to get your IT problems resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  As an optional service, the NOC can also provide a trained HelpDesk service with a dedicated phone# to support your users.  Please contact us for more details.
